First Post!

I thought I'd set up this blog so my family and friends can see what I'm doing when I'm traveling the world. And before then, I'm gonna blog about everything I have to do to get ready for this incredible journey!

So there are exactly 148 days left until I set sail on the biggest adventure of my life. Now, that might seem like a long way away (and, yes- it feels like a lifetime) there is so much to do that I hope it will fly by. Classes start in 17 days, I already have tons to do for sorority recruitment, which starts September 16th, I'm not even done with my summer job yet, and I haven't even thought about all the paperwork I have to do for semester at sea!

I still have to finish my financial aid packet, apply for a passport, and send in my visa forms. Then in October, I'll have to pick classes and start thinking about what trips I want to take. I will probably end up having to take out a loan, so I'll need to get started on that process as well. So much to think about...

But at the same time, I know it will be completely and totally worth it. I have been obsessing over this program since February, when I first found out about it and applied. I have read countless blogs of SAS alumni, watched every youtube video there is, and researched everything there is to know about it. Now, I don't know if this is a good thing, but I can't help it- it's all I can think about. I just wish it was January already so I can go!!! I mean, think about it- one ship, 700 students, 11 different countries, 4 months, a billion new experiences...I just cannot wait! I'm hoping the next few months go by quickly because otherwise I don't know what I'm gonna do with myself!
